Role

The Office of Equity + Social Justice works to improve educational outcomes, support student-focused practices, interrupt and eliminate disparities in policies and practices, and support district leaders with impartial problem-solving, decision-making, and planning. In doing so, our work creates inclusive and just conditions for all students and staff.

Student Engagement 

Student engagement in APS ensures that all students not only receive an education, but are empowered to advocate for change and shape their futures. By centering student voices, we cultivate a district where every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them to be leaders in an increasingly diverse society.

Cross-Functional Support 

The Office of Equity + Social Justice supports districtwide functions, programs, and initiatives to further the vision of “One district with one goal, for every child.” This includes:
