BFI Scholar,
Booker T. Washington High School-Banking, Finance & Investment is destined for amazing things in 2012-2013. The gifts and talents of our students combined with the dedication and passion of our teachers allows us to strive for excellence. Excellence is not the result of a good intention or clever slogan. It is not a value that is easily achieved. It comes from a strong, urgent desire to improve how we do things when we see something we can do better. We continue to work hard to ensure that Booker T. Washington High School-Banking, Finance & Investment will be recognized as a top performing school in academics, athletics and student activities. It has been said that: “Good is the enemy of Great”. Therefore, continue to strive to be GREAT. The trials you encounter will introduce you to your strengths. Remain focused . . . and one day you will build something worthy of your potential.” As we strive for excellence, we will move from Good to GREAT!
Washington High School-BFI is a great place to be! I believe that strong community-school relationships are essential to high academic, extra-curricular and athletic achievement. Find any successful school and you will also find parents and community members that are involved and supportive of the school. This community recognizes the value of educational, athletic and extracurricular activities. Therefore, Washington High School-BFI expects you to excel both inside and outside of the classroom. I hope you are proud of yourself as you reflect these expectations through your character, courage, and commitment. In a few short weeks, YOU will be walking through the front doors of the school for the new school year. High expectations and accountability continue to be top priorities for all of us at BFI. We must settle for nothing less than the BEST in OUR school! Success with anything, success in anything has one fundamental aspect – EFFORT.
