  • How do I sign up for classes?

    Choose the date that is convenient for you to attend orientation and testing.

     

    What days and times are orientation held?

    Orientation days and times are available on the registration/orientation calendar on the sign-up form.

    What is the TABE test?

    The TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) test is the entrance exam for adult education programs.  Every student applying for entrance into our program must take the TABE test.

     

    What is the Pre-Test and the Post-Test?

    The pre-test is the initial test that you took to enter the program.  The post-test is given once 40 contact hours are received. The post-test is the TABE test as well.

     

    Do we offer ESL (English as a Second Language) classes online?

    No, we do not offer ESL classes online.

     

    What documentation is accepted to enroll in the ESL classes?

    Valid US Driver's License, Legal Permanent Resident Card, United States Passport, Qualified Alien or Non-Immigrant Passport from home country and United States Visa with I-94 or Alien registration Number.  If you have any questions or want to inquire about other accepted documentation, please give us a call at 404-802-3540

     

    What are the class times?

    • Morning: Monday - Thursday     9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    • Afternoon: Monday-Thursday    1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    • Evenings: Monday-Thursday     5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

     

    What is the cost associated with completing my GED diploma?

    Classes are free.  The GED exams are $46.00 per test.  The GED includes 4 tests: Reading, Mathematics, Social studies, Science.  

     

    What is the cost associated with completing my HiSET diploma?

    Classes are free.  The HiSET exams are $26.75 per test.  The HiSET includes 5 tests: Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Social studies, Science.  

     

    When can I take the GED or HiSET?

    Our classes are designed to provide various skills from basic reading and math to test preparation. Each person takes the TABE assessment which shows an individual’s level of proficiency in each area. Test readiness is based on these scores.

     

    Do we have a graduation?

    Yes, we have an annual graduation, which is held in June. Students who earn their HSE (GED/HiSET) are invited to participate and purchase their cap and gown. The location, time and date will be announced in April.

     

    What other services do we provide?

    Adult Education offers many types of assistance through Career Services.
